At least two more people were shot by police in Myanmar overnight, local media reported.

More chilling videos of nighttime arrests and beatings have emerged as a brutal crackdown against opposition continues.

Human rights expert Thomas Andrews has warned the UN of ‘growing evidence’ of crimes against humanity by the military junta.

There are also growing concerns about the safety of Polish journalist, Robert Bociaga. He was arrested in the city of Taunggyi while working for the German Press Agency.

Meanwhile, AP journalist Thein Zaw appeared in court charged with public order offences. He was one of nine reporters detained during
a street protest in Yangon on February 27.

Press freedom was rolled back after the army overthrew Myanmar’s democratic government.

The Myanmar military and police are accused of using ‘battlefield weaponry’ on citizens. Amnesty International said guns ‘usually used by soldiers’ are being used by police to fire indiscriminately against demonstrators.
