Taliban officials attended the second day of high-level talks with Western diplomats in Oslo on Tuesday to discuss the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
Representatives of women’s rights, human rights defenders, and Afghan civil society representatives met behind closed doors at the Soria Moria Hotel to discuss the ongoing crisis.
The humanitarian situation had worsened in Afghanistan since August when international aid came to a halt, and the US froze billions of dollars in assets in the Afghan central bank.
Western governments have stressed the Taliban must respect human rights before aid, on which the country is heavily reliant, can continue.
