A cat-lover from Gaza City has transformed his house into a feline shelter and beauty salon, as seen in footage filmed on Wednesday.
20-year-old Mohammad Al-Madhoun could be seen treating his four-legged client to a relaxing blow-drying session, followed by a comb-and-trim combo.
Outside, a makeshift shelter housed several cats and kittens, which Al-Madhoun fed using a syringe.
The Palestinian explained that he had been raising cats since the age of three, when one had been brought to his family home.
“My customers are those who are too busy to raise their cats, so they send them to me, and I take care of them and treat them for a fee,” said Al-Madhoun, stating that his clients motivate him to continue his efforts.
Al-Madhoun went on to express his wish to open a shelter for sick and stray cats in the future, as well as a shop to bring rare and imported cats to the Gaza Strip.

SOT, Mohammad Al-Madhoun, Owner of cat salon (Arabic): “I have been raising cats since I was 3-years-old, when my family brought a cat for me to take care of. I have been looking after cats ever since and will continue to take care of them. Of course, I started with one cat, and over time it turned into a large number of cats, and I began importing cats from abroad and expanding and developing the breeds.”

My many frequent customers, who found my offers to clean and care for cats via my social media page, have motivated me to continue this work.”
