Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) observers were present at the site of a kindergarten in Stanytsia Luganska, Lugansk region, on Thursday.

According to information released by Ukraine’s Joint Forces Operation (JFO) on February 17, the kindergarten building was shelled by the forces of the Lugansk People’s Republic and resulted in three injuries among staff.

The authorities of the republic denied the claim, saying the building was shelled from the territory under Kiev control to display for the foreign media present in the region.

The OSCE reportedly confirmed that the facade of the building was damaged and promised to gather the information on the incident as soon as possible.

The Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics (DPR) have also accused the Ukrainian forces of shelling their territories on Thursday. The DPR said they responded with fire at the positions of the Ukrainian army.

Kiev denied accusations of ceasefire violations.
