Military personnel and government workers were seen installing long portions of razor wire to strengthen the Poland-Belarus border at Zubrzyca Wielka, in order to prevent migrants from entering the country as seen on Thursday.

Metal rods and long lines of razor wire were seen being installed by groups of military personnel, as army vehicles and drilling machines were deployed to support the process.

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki recently pledged that his country would remain strict and stop undocumented migrants from entering the country from neighbouring Belarus, as the country accused the government of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko of fueling a migrant crisis.

In a statement, the state Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus alleged that Polish authorities had tried to force a large group of migrants into the territory of Belarus. The migrants are said mostly to be from Afghanistan.
