Protesters rallied in several European cities again, demonstrating against governments’ COVID-19 measures.

Amid rising infection numbers across Europe, authorities are taking steps to reduce the spread of the virus.

Italy and France for instance have introduced a mandatory health pass. Austria announced that if COVID hospitalisations continue to rise, restrictions will be put in place for those who are not vaccinated.

Europe has seen a rise in COVID infections for three weeks in a row.

Especially in the Baltic states cases are mounting amid low vaccination rates, and health systems are facing increasing pressure.
