Junior kickboxing marvel Valentin Klemm showed off his impressive fighting skills at a gym class in Brand-Erbisdorf on Thursday, with dreams of getting to high places through his dedication to the sport.
The 11-year old Klemm first started to train at the gym four years ago with his father.
Since then, Klemm has gone from strength to strength, having recently attained the orange belt rank and becoming Germany’s champion in his category on October 30 in Zwickau.
“It would be amazing to bring a fighter that could take part in the UFC. However the fighter must be ready. The kid must want it and he must work on it on a regular basis to hang in there and this is very difficult,” commented Benedikt Sult, the fighter’s coach.
“Valentin is very proactive for his age and he is working a lot at home with his dad,” added Sult.
Sult noted that although a dream of fighting at UFC games may be “very far away”, one can always remain “optimistic.”
