‘Putin’s Palace: Russian President Denies Owning $1.3 Billion Secret Mansion’

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been forced to deny allegations he owns a huge palace on the Black Sea coast.

He’s accused of secretly funding its $1.3 billion construction through an elaborate corruption scheme.

The accusations were made by Putin’s political rival Alexei Navalny in a two-hour documentary that laid out the scale of the project. The opposition leader was arrested on his return to Russia from Germany, sparking widespread anti-Kremlin protests.

Complete with formal gardens, landing pads for three helicopters, a vineyard, 24-hour security and a private theatre, the palace - initially intended to be a modest vacation home - is now almost 40 times the size of Monaco.
