A total of 15 agreements were signed at a meeting in Doha on Tuesday between Turkish and Qatari officials, in a move towards strengthening bilateral ties.

The signing took place among Turkish and Qatari diplomats, in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

The two leaders later attended the seventh meeting of the Turkey-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee as co-chairs.

An increase in future cooperation is expected as a result of the agreements across a broad range of fields, such as business, religion, sports, entertainment and diplomacy.

Erdogan has been in Doha since Monday, with the meeting of the Turkey-Qatar Supreme Strategic Committee spanning across two days.
