With Donald Trump behind in the polls, his campaign has gone into overdrive attempting to delegitimise the result of the election.

He’s begun propagating wild conspiracy theories of dark shadowy figures pulling strings behind the scenes and even suggested Joe Biden is taking performance enhancing drugs.

Despite not providing evidence for these allegations he has continued to float them as real reasons why the November 3rd ballot is ‘rigged’.

Is this posturing an early admission of defeat or a masterstroke by Trump, ready to take office for a second term?
