Feyenoord Rotterdam fans were escorted by police to the Olympiastadion for a match against FC Union Berlin.

Tensions were high following violent confrontations during the first match in the Netherlands two weeks ago.

Police enclosed the area around the Olympiastadion and implemented security measures to keep everything under control.

The previous night officers also kept a close eye on the football fans, who sang their hearts out in bars and pubs.

Earlier in the day part of the Berlin Wall, also known as the East Side Gallery, had ‘Feyenoord Rotterdam’ sprayed on.
It appears that in an act of rivalry FC Union Berlin supporters later wrote ‘Ultras Union’ over the ‘Feyenoord’ graffiti, also vandalising the memorial.
