Russia: Army International Games 2021 opening ceremony held in Alabino

The opening ceremony of the ‘Army International Games 2021’ and the international military-technical forum ‘Army’ was held at the Alabino training ground in the Moscow region on Monday.

Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the opening ceremony, noting the high level of development of the country’s armed forces.

During the ceremony, different militaries joined together to conduct a masterclass, creating a joint waltz using the T-80U and BMD-4 tanks to the music of Tchaikovsky, and also a parachutist performance.

The main attraction of the program of the Games is the spectacular international competition known as the “Tank Biathlon,” in which 19 countries take part.

The international military and technical forum ‘Army-2021’ is being held on the territory of the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Centre in Kubinka airfield, as well as the Alabino training ground from August 22 to 28.

The VII Army International Games will be held from August 22 to September 4. 290 teams from 43 countries will take part in the competitions.
