Russia: German FM Baerbock visits Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow ahead of talks with Lavrov

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock visited the ‘Diversity United’ exhibition at Moscow’s State Tretyakov Gallery on Tuesday ahead of a bilateral meeting with her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.

According to Russia’s Foreign Ministry, during their meeting, Baerbock and Russia’s Lavrov are expected to discuss Moscow’s draft proposals on security guarantees in Europe, among other topical issues.

The talks come after the German FM held negotiations with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in Kiev on Monday.

She confirmed that Berlin “is ready for a serious dialogue with Russia, and diplomacy is the only way to de-escalate today’s dangerous situation”.
