Russia: Host team wins 'tank biathlon' individual race in Moscow region

The Russian team won the individual race of the ongoing ‘tank biathlon’ games at the Alabino training ground in the Moscow region on Wednesday.

During the event, the tank crews made three circles with different types of firing: from a cannon, an anti-aircraft machine gun and a coaxial Kalashnikov tank machine gun.

According to the press service of the Russia-organised games, the host team finished the obstacle course in 19 minutes 18 seconds. At the same time, the tank managed to reach the speed of 83 km per hour.

The team from China finished second with a time of 20 minutes 13 seconds, and the crew from Uzbekistan took third place - 22 minutes 35 seconds.

According to the Russian Defense ministry, 19 national teams of the participating countries, divided into two divisions, are involved in the international tank championship, which runs from August 22 to September 4.
