Russia: Kazakh, Tajik teams triumph on third day of tank biathlon comp

Teams from Kazakhstan and Tajikistan came on top at the tank biathlon first and second division individual races, at the Alabino training ground near Moscow on Tuesday.

Along with Kazakhstan, the first division competition included teams from Serbia, Belarus and Azerbaijan, whereas the second division tank race consisted of crews from Qatar, South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Tajikistan.

In total, teams from 19 countries take part in the tank biathlon competition, which is part of the International Army Games, from August 22 to September 4.

The first division consists of teams from Russia, Uzbekistan, China, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Serbia, Venezuela, Syria and Vietnam.

In the second division, tank crews from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Laos, Myanmar, Qatar and Mali battle it out for glory.
