Russia: Knyaz Vladimir submarine arrives in St. Petersburg for debut in Navy parade

The Knyaz Vladimir missile submarine arrived in Saint Petersburg on Saturday ahead of Russia’s main naval parade.

Footage filmed on Sunday shows the nuclear-powered missile submarine of the Borey-A unit in the Gulf of Finland, with other vessels passing by.

It’s the first time Prince Vladimir is taking part in the parade, according to the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy Nikolay Evmenov. The vessel will be joined by the Northern Fleet’s nuclear submarine missile cruiser Orel and the nuclear submarine Vepr.

Thirty-nine ships and boats, seven submarines and 48 planes and helicopters are set to participate in the main naval parade in St. Petersburg on the day of the Russian Navy on Sunday, July 25.
