‘Russian Gymnast Faces BAN Over Pro-War ‘Z’ Symbol’

A Russian gymnast is under investigation for taping a ‘Z’ symbol on his shirt at Apparatus World Cup in Doha.

Ivan Kuliak stood on the podium with gold-medal winning Ukrainian athlete Illia Kovtun, as he wore the letter, which has been spotted on Russian tanks during its invasion of Ukraine.

Kuliak will now be investigated by the International Gymnastics Federation for wearing the pro-war symbol, facing disciplinary action.
