Spain: Firefighters deployed after heavy rains hit Castellon

Castellon firefighters removed debris from the street on Tuesday, after the heavy rains that hit the town of Moncofa on Monday.

The more than 50 liters of water that fell in an hour, together with a hailstorm and gusts of wind of up to 100 km/h, destroyed large trees and flooded roads and streets.

Several firefighters were cutting the branches of fallen trees that blocked roads and gates with an electric saw.

The town of Moncofa has not been the only one affected, since other Castellon cities such as Alfondeguilla, Almenara and Sot de Ferrer have also experienced heavy rains and associated damage.
