Heavy rains that fell on Monday morning flooded the promenade of San Juan, in Alicante province.

In a matter of minutes, rainfall partially flooded the boardwalk and the road next to the beach.

Storms have reached their highest intensity this afternoon in the province of Alicante, with up to 61mm (2.4 inches) according to the regional government emergency centre.
