Spain: One of Italy"s most wanted mafia bosses arrested in Madrid

The National Police arrested Domenico Paviglianiti on Thursday in Madrid. Paviglianiti is considered the greatest leader of the Calabrian mafia, the ‘Ndrangheta.
At the time of his arrest, the suspect, who was a fugitive from Italian justice, was carrying false Portuguese documentation, six mobile phones and a significant amount of cash.
Paviglianiti’s criminal record includes drug and weapons trafficking, as well as multiple homicides.
The arrest was carried out in a joint operation with the Italian Carabinieri.
