Spain: Over 2,500 migrants attempt to jump Melilla fence

More than 2,500 migrants of sub-Saharan origin attempted to enter Spain through the fence that separates the autonomous city of Melilla from Morocco, on Wednesday.

This is one of the largest attempts recorded to date.

According to local media about 500 people managed to gain access to the Spanish city and headed towards the Temporary Stay Center for Immigrants.

Footage show migrants who managed to cross the fence, some of them covered in blood.
