Spectacular northern lights put up a show in Murmansk region

The skies above Lake Kanentyavr in the Murmansk region were coloured by bright northern lights overnight on Monday.
The footage shows vivid green strands of northern lights dancing over the lake and twisting into dizzying spirals. Several meteors also hit the camera lens, creating a bright trail in the night sky.
Aurora Borealis, or the northern lights, is the glow of the upper atmosphere of planets that have a magnetosphere, due to their interaction with charged particles of the solar wind.
