Sri Lanka’s economy is in meltdown, with people struggling to buy food, fuel and other necessities, despite receiving aid from India and other countries.

Many stayed in President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s official residence overnight, cooking food, lounging on beds and jumping into the swimming pool from a balcony.
