State of Palestine: Palestinians injured during anti-settlement protest near Nablus

Several Palestinian protestors were injured in clashes with Israeli forces during an anti-settlement demonstration around Mount Sabih near Beita, south of Nablus on Friday.

Palestinian protestors can be seen throwing rocks at the Israeli soldiers, who responded with firing tear gas canisters heavily at the protestors.

“I come here all the way from Ariha every Friday, we won’t give up the mountain [Mount Sabih] God’s Willing even if we all fall dead. Victory is near and God’s promise is near until this Israeli occupation is perished from our land”, said protestor Abu Al-Nimr, adding: “Palestine is our land from the river to the sea, and we are not giving up our land no matter what it takes. Victory or martyrdom, and victory is near God’s willing.”

According to local reports, dozens of Palestinians were wounded by rubber bullets and tear gas canisters fired by Israeli soldiers during demonstrations in Beita and Bayt Dajan near Nablus.

For months, Palestinians have been organizing protests in the area threatened to be seized to establish Israeli settlements.
