Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano, has erupted once again, spewing molten lava and ash into the atmosphere.

One of Italy’s three active volcanoes has seen a recent surge in activity at Etna’s summit, putting on a spectacular display of pyrotechnics.

As the volcanic eruption was largely expected, the site was properly secured, and there were no reported injuries or deaths.
