This cat will always look like tiny kitten due to rare disorder

I was told by our gardener that he rescued four kittens from a vacant lot. I rescue cats all the time. He asked me if I could help rehome these four kittens. One of the kittens was really small. I found homes for all three and I decided to keep Munchkin. He’s not a Munchkin cat, his name is Munchkin.

According to Munchkin’s vet, he suffers from metabolic bone disorder. His bones are not developing like a normal cat. His usual symptoms are constipation. He has a very low immune system. Munchkin’s condition is so fragile and delicate that we’re all just trying to learn and understand the best ways to help him.

I think people assume because he’s so cute that it’s so easy to take care of him, but Munchkin is actually one of the hardest and most challenging cats I’ve ever had to take care of. I just want him to give him the best life. I wish people knew how rewarding it can be to see them thrive, to see them both through and see them survive.

Munchkin basically means everything to me. I’ve given up sleep for him. I always put my ear next to his nose just to know if he’s breathing properly. He’s very, very healthy as of today. And it basically took us a long time to get here, but he’s happy now.
