Paris Saint-Germain football star Lionel Messi toured Dubai’s Expo 2020 on Monday as part of an official visit.

The star posed for photos with fans, saw key highlights of the show and met with Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner General of Expo 2020 Dubai, as well as Noura Al Kaabi, the UAE’s Minister of Culture.

As part of his tour Messi also met with representatives of the Argentinian embassy in the UAE.
“The visit was amazing, I had come in 2020 when there were still not many things and to come back at this time and find everything I saw was really surprising and very nice,” said Messi.

The Expo 2020 opened in October and is set to run until March 31 2022.

It is obvious that PSG´s goal for many years has been to be able to win the Champions League. They have been trying, and they were very close to winning it. So, I think it is everybody’s goal. The Champions League trophy is special and all big teams want to get it so we will try to get it too.”
