Britain’s final evacuation flight from Kabul landed at Royal Air Force Brize Norton in Oxfordshire on Sunday as the UK’s 20-year mission in Afghanistan ends.
Soldiers were seen walking out of the aircraft amid silence.
The flight arrival marks the end of operation Pitting aimed at safely evacuating British nationals and eligible Afghans from Afghanistan following the Taliban’s takeover.
