Ukraine: Kiev residents take part in civil defence drills amid mounting Russia tensions

Kiev residents took part in civil defence exercises as seen on Sunday on the territory of the Atek factory, now the base of the National Corps political formation.
The footage shows civilians practising movement with wooden mock weapons and learning casualty evacuation techniques.

Several hundred people attended the exercise, as local media stated. During drills, people learned theoretical and practical basics of military training, as well as ways to handle weapons and provide medical care.

In late January Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that messages about threats of war with Russia had increased panic inside the country, and expressed concern that such rumours may damage the Ukrainian economy.
Russia has denied accusations that it is gathering forces at the border to invade Ukraine.
