Ukrainian troops have claimed another major Russian general.

Kanamat Botashev, who reportedly came out of retirement to fight in battle, was killed when his Su-25 aircraft was hit by a Ukrainian missile, according to the BBC.

Botashev is believed to be the highest-ranking Russian pilot to have been killed in the conflict so far.
