The death count remains at 74 and amongst those dead are 12 children Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear confirmed at a briefing in Frankfort on Tuesday.

The victims range in age from two months to 98 years, the governor stated.

Beshear also said the owners of the Mayfield candle factory have confirmed that all other employees are accounted for, after rescue dogs searched the debris. The factory became a focus of attention after employees were allegedly banned by supervisors from leaving the factory in the hours leading up to the tornado. Eight people have died at the factory.

Tornadoes ripped through Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, Kansas, Illinois, and Tennessee on Friday and Saturday, killing at least 74 and destroying over 1,000 homes.
