USA: Capitol police investigate bomb threat near Library of Congress

US Capitol police were investigating a bomb threat after a person claiming he had an explosive device parked a vehicle without license plates outside the Library of Congress in Washington DC on Thursday.

Snipers were deployed to the area and several buildings were evacuated.

Capitol Police Chief Tom Manger said the person’s were not known with negotiators working to find ‘a peaceful solution’.
