An advisory panel of the experts of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine jabs for children ages 5 to 11 while voting via a video link on Tuesday.
“Out of 18 voting members, 17 voted yes, and we had one abstain,” said federally designated officer, Kathleen Hayes.
The decision of the panel is non-binding for the FDA which is expected to officially decide on the jab in a few days.
