USA: Locals call for accountability as oil spill reaches Huntington Beach

Beachgoers were left frustrated and disappointed on Sunday following a massive oil spill that left the coastline strawn with crude oil and dead animals forcing authorities to close portions of the seashore in Huntington Beach, California.
“I’m not happy about it at all; somebody should take responsibility for it. It’s caused a lot of ecological damage,” said Kenneth, a beachgoer.
The leak from an oil pipeline about 8 kilometres (4.9 miles) from the southern California coastline has so far spilled over 34 square kilometres in the area.
Authorities have yet to determine with certainty what caused the spill.
