Neighbours could be seen leaving messages in tribute to those who died in an apartment fire in Fairmount, Philadelphia, on Thursday, after the blaze killed 12 the day prior.
The site was cordoned off by police, while neighbours and relatives visited the memorial to offer their condolences.
12 people died including 8 children following a terraced house fire in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia on Wednesday. According to city officials, the firefighters battled the blaze for about 50 minutes, ultimately managing to bring the fire under control.
An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances under which the fire started.

We were actually in virtual class when we found out and the teacher actually ended class a little early and that made me look online to see what was going on but we didn’t know it was as tragic as it was.”
