Yemen: "We are only civilians" - Sanaa residents react after Saudi-led coalition airstrikes

Residents in Sanaa spoke out after missiles sent by the Saudi-led coalition targeted their homes on Monday, with one person stating ‘we did nothing’ to incite the airstrikes.
Local reports indicate that a total of 5 raids were carried out on the city, targeting an old radio station and a number of residential neighbourhoods.
Streets appeared littered with rubble following the strikes, which left many house and car windows smashed.
“We were sleeping peacefully, and at around 03:00, a missile targeted us from this direction. There are no military sites here, we are only civilians, what is our fault here? We found this shrapnel inside the house,” explained one resident standing in the streets of the city.
The raids came after the UAE announced having intercepted a ballistic missile fired by Houthi rebels on Sunday, during a visit by Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
The Yemeni Ministry of Public Health stated that over the month of January 150 civilians and another 350 were injured by coalition airstrikes.

We were in our house and they targeted us with a missile.”

SOT, Local resident (Arabic): “This brutal aggression against Yemen targeted citizens in residential neighbourhoods, including the Al-Hasaba area and the media area. They targeted an empty space, where there are no weapons, tanks or heavy weapons. They targeted an empty land with nothing in it.”
