Betty demonstrates how to make a Cranberry-Feta Cheese Ball to serve as an appetizer for this year's Christmas table. It will be accompanied by gingersnaps and apple wedges.
Cranberry-Feta Cheese Ball
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
dash of Tabasco sauce
dash of salt
2 tablespoons red currant jelly
4 ounces crumbled feta cheese
1 cup dried cranberries, chopped
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, salt, and red currant jelly at medium speed of an electric mixer for about 2 minutes until very smooth. Fold in feta cheese. Chill in refrigerator for about 5 minutes. Shape into a ball and roll in chopped cranberries to coat. Serve with gingersnaps and apple wedges. I hope you enjoy this great appetizer! --Betty :)
