Greece Ferries Syrian Regugees: Over 2,000 migrants arrive to Greek port city

Greece has ferried hundreds of mainly Syrian refugees to its mainland as its nearby islands struggled to handle the growing influx of arrivals, pushing resources to breaking point. More than 2,000 refugees have arrived at the port city of Pireaus on a car ferry chartered by the Greek government. Authorities are attempting to ease overcrowded conditions on islands bordering Turkey.
