Called LG within the first week of receiving 42LB650v. I was experiencing major problems with lagging especially on guide menu. After discussing problem with Customer service, they promised to call me back, Unbelievably no one even bothered to call back despite my lengthy wait to get through.
LG customer service advised that a fix (update) would soon be available to rectify lag soon? I mean it’s nearly been 6months, how long is the customer really expected to wait for a fix that will rectify problem? For such a big company to say wait for an update to rectify the issue is a shame. To at least offer customers who are within their warranty period an exchange isn’t such an unreasonable request especially when they are aware of the issue! I would maybe even go as far as to say a recall on this model.
I have since tried multiple updates but none have had any effect on my problems. Other issues I have had with this model is watching shows via USB and WiFi direct. Half way through the show the TV will stop and display a message saying ‘TV out of memory’. I have tried different USB sticks and different size hard drives but to no avail as the message still pops up. I would advise potential buyers to stay well clear of this model. LG should stand up and be accountable for this apparently ‘SMART’ TV’s downfall. I have been loyal to LG for many years but this TV has really shaken my confidence in them. Their Logo makes a mockery of my experiences with this TV, as I can assure you LIFE IS NOT GOOD with this new addition. Hopefully they will rectify my issue sooner rather than later.
