MPCNC with JTP Laser - First Picture Lase

This is my Mostly Printed CNC with my new J Tech Photonics 2.8w laser mounted. To get up and running, there was some wiring and calibrating to do, plus I had to mount the big laser, two line lasers, and a cooling fan on a new universal mounting system I just installed. I also had to find and learn some new software. I finally got my first test burns done today. This video is of a photograph that's been rasterized for laser using an open source program called Image2Gcode. This program was originally created for the 3dpburner project by villamany at 3dpburner.com. The code it generates is not compatible with an MPCNC running Marlin/Ramps (it works with GRBL). User Leo69 on the vicious1.com forums (home of the MPCNC) modified the code to generate Marlin/Ramps friendly gcode. Works great - this was my very first try at burning a rasterized image, and it came out very nice. The laser driver is running at 1.8 amps and the feed rate was 1000mm/min. I didn't time it, but I think it took around 20 minutes. The MPCNC-friendly version of Image2Gcode can be found at vicious1.com. For more information on Image2Gcode, see 3dpburner.com. The photo is of me when I was around a year old, with my dad's guitar. I started learning to play the guitar when I was 11 and have played for over 45 years now. This picture means a lot to me because it's the earliest picture of me and my lifelong instrument.
