Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the Orders of Parental Glory to Russian multi-child families in the Kremlin, Moscow, on Wednesday. The Russian leader presented decorations to families from the Astrakhan and Yaroslavl Regions, the Republic of Karelia, Buryatia and a number of other areas. At the beginning of the reception, as Putin entered the room, a child started crying in the hall and the president jokingly remarked: “Don’t cry! Everything is fine” adding that the guests had “scared the baby by knocking and rattling." The order was awarded to parents and adoptive parents who raise or educate seven or more children.
