Severin Eisenberger: Chopin f minor concerto - I Maestoso

The great Polish pianist Severin Eisenberger sends out the music the way we love to hear it -- bold and exciting, yet suave: the first movement (Maestoso) from Chopin's f minor concerto op. 21 (The next 2 movements are also posted, and follow!). The Cincinnatti Conservatory Orchestra is directed in red-blooded fashion by Alexander von Kreisler. The student orchestra hangs in there with the challenging soloist, with von Kreisler bringing out some unfamiliar lines, as Eisenberger has chosen to play with a reorchestration. (Burmeister? Perhaps an astute YT-er can trace the orchestrator.) Recorded May 14, 1938.
