Another "chase" video. This time catching both an eastbound and westbound train on the Canadian Pacific's Chicago subdivision. Nothing too special, but since I've been out of action for a few days due to the holiday, I thought I'd see what I could dig up on a drizzly, gloomy 38 degree day. So we get some rain on the windshield at times. My "normal" eastbound video is here: http://youtu.be/Ch6ORszVIlU And the westbound here: http://youtu.be/IvLyuEjwCag About the camera I'm using. It's a Kodak Zx3. One of those "Flip"style cameras. For this type of thing it seems to do a nice job. I wanted something that I could use as a "point of view" camera. And one that could handle some rain if I wish to leave it outside to video a storm. This would make an ideal Christmas present for someone looking for an inexpensive video camera. The price is really coming down since there is a newer model, the Zx5, which has a smaller sensor and fixed battery. Both negatives IMHO. My only gripe is that battery life could be better. So a spare battery, which is inexpensive, might be a good idea. And it charges via micro USB. So most modern cell-phone chargers should be able to top it up. I see that I got the CITX messed up in the title.
