At least five people have died after an explosion close to the entrance of the Eid Gah Mosque in Kabul on Sunday. Four others were injured in the incident.
The blast came as a memorial service for the mother of the Spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Zabihullah Mujahid was being held in the mosque.
Footage shows security forces on the streets of Kabul after the blast.
Sunday’s attack is the first to target the capital Kabul since the deadly suicide bombing at Kabul airport in late august. ISIS-K were the perpetrators of that attack, which killed 183.
