Antifa and restriction protesters hold opposing rallies in Leipzig

Antifa members and Leipzig residents held a counter-demonstration, as the ‘Citizens’ Movement Leipzig’ protested against COVID measures.

Activists could be seen occupying a street, as anti-restriction protesters marched in their direction.

However the two groups did not come into contact with police keeping them separated.

‘Citizens Movement Leipzig’ have been marching regularly through the German city in the last few weeks.

According to local media, right-wing extremists are increasingly frequenting the rallies.

This time members of the far-right ‘Young Nationalists’ (JN) reportedly also took part in the COVID measures protest.
