Locals ignored rains and clouds in Sydney on Monday as the pubs, restaurants and hairdressers among other businesses welcomed back their patrons.

As the Government Vaccine Passport was not ready on time for the ‘Freedom Day’, locals resorted to other measures to show their vaccinated status.

“At the moment there is the MyGov app which can show the history of your immunisation but you can also sync it with Apple store or Playstore then you can just have one icon on your device so you can access it pretty quickly then just show it,” said Sagy Kahalon, a local as he waited to get his haircut.
