A man climbed a 33-storey skyscraper in Barcelona without ropes or safety equipment.

Extreme athlete George King climbed 144 metres to the top of the iconic Agbar Tower.

The 20-year-old Englishman then made his way back down the building. Police were waiting for him at the bottom, where they arrested him.

King said he hoped his performance would help lift spirits during the Christmas holiday season, which has been marred by the pandemic.
