Newly captured drone footage has revealed the destruction caused by the August 4 explosion in the port of Beirut.

The blast, caused by a massive stock of poorly stored ammonium nitrate, killed at least 180 people and injured 6,000.

The head of Lebanon’s customs authority was formally arrested after being questioned over the deadly event.

Recently surfaced documents have showed officials knew for years about the dangers of precariously storing 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate.
