Story of Wobbly Hannah - Dog with neurological disorder

Hannah has cerebellar hypoplasia. It’s a neurological disorder where the cerebellums don’t fully develop, which largely controls motor functioning. It essentially means she has difficulties with balance and coordination. She needs assistance with many daily tasks, but also has a wheelchair, she is able to use outside. Luckily, this neurological condition does not worsen over time and Hannah is in no pain and needs no medication. She spent her first three years in foster and rescue care without a forever home, largely due to her special needs.

On her third birthday, we applied to adopt her after following her story through a rescue for a month only to realize we were the family she needed to step up. She continues to amaze us every day and is the happiest girl ever. She’s always smiling and accomplishing anything she sets out to do. And also loves getting dressed up in bandanas and going outside for wagon rides.

Hannah may not be able to greet us at the door, but her whole body wiggles with excitement to see us come home. She also needs assistance and is carried outside and up and down the stairs, But she is able to move independently, If something motivates her, She actually prefers to move independently, even if it looks different than what you might be used to seeing, ‘Happy like Hannah’ is our motto and you can hardly ever find this girl without a smile on her face.
