Just as this group of Mexican journalists prepared to protest the recent killing of a peer two more were shot to death in the state of Veracruz.

Yessnia Mollinedo Falconi and Sheila Johana García Olivera were murdered by unidentified assassins.

Their killings take the 2022 death toll of Mexican journalists to 11.
